Each component’s wiring shall be sized to handle at least 125% of that circuit capacity. All wire runs are to be within factory wiring channels, and secured in regular intervals per industry standard. Extra wiring is to be cut short; still allowing a service loop, but no bundles of wire under the carpet, dash, or trunk are not acceptable.
For vehicles not provided with a Factory auxiliary wiring for added equipment: A single power wire, no less than 4 gauge, shall be wired directly to the battery positive terminal to the fuse block. All wiring should be neatly bundled and secured with plastic ties and secured under the vehicle dash or within the consoles. Control cables shall be installed so that cable is routed under the vehicle’s door moldings or side covers whenever possible. In the event that the cable is too short to circumvent the vehicle cab a shorter distance across the floorboard and directly to the radio control head may be utilized. In this case the control cable should be laid down the middle of the cab and shrouded in wire loom. The wire loom shall be secured to the floorboard utilizing cable clamps. Wiring utilized for installations shall be one-piece from end to end. Industry standard heat shrink tubing and connecters shall be used
