About this file

This solicitation is for an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract to provide tree thinning, pruning, stand improvement, slash treatment, hand piling, fuels reduction, and related services on National Forest lands within Northern Region forests. Services will be ordered under multiple task orders over three years. Site visits will be held October 15-19 for interested contractors to tour sample areas on each forest: Flathead and Kootenai on October 15; Bitterroot and Lolo on October 16; Helena/L&C and Beaverhead/Deerlodge on October 17; and Custer/Gallatin, IDPN, and CLW/NEZ on October 18-19. Contractors must RSVP by October 12 to participate and provide their own safety gear. The solicitation includes pricing schedules for evaluation purposes and estimated annual quantities for each work item by subitem and forest location. Production rates will also be established for calculating task order periods of performance.

Walk -in > 1000 ft
Per 1,000 ft. Per Walk-in Unit Acre[footnoteRef:1] [1: When walk-ins exceeds 1,000 feet, Contractor will be paid for the entire walk-in distance, including the first 1,000 feet. Walk-in payment will be proportional to the number of acres in a particular walk-in unit. For example, if the walk-in distance is 1,250 feet for a 20 acre unit with a bid price of $10.00 per 1,000 feet per walk-in unit acre, the walk-in unit price for that unit would be: $10.00 * 1.25 feet * 20 acres = $250.00
