Information Notice Road Construction Services
OPEN SITE VISIT FOR FUTURE REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL

Good Creek Crush and Laydown

Project Location (include directions):
Flathead County Montana, Tally Lake Ranger District. The quarry is located on NFSR 60A at milepost 3.21. Haul routes will be NFSRs 60, 60A, and 60C.
Legal Description: Township 31N, Range 25W Reply Due: No Reply due – This is an OPEN site visit, no formal site visit will be conducted. Contractors are highly encouraged to visit the site at their own convenience.
Due to expected winter weather conditions, this contract site will be inaccessible during the Solicitation period, expected winter/early spring 2018.
Contractors are not required to visit the contract site to be considered for award. However, inability to visit the site before award will not constitute justification for later modification or price adjustment to a resulting contract.
This document is an Information Only – Special Notice for a potential Road Construction Services contract. This notice is not a solicitation or pre-solicitation notice, and does not guarantee or commit the government to any future action. However, the Forest Service anticipates awarding a Construction Contract during the winter/early spring 2018.
Work Description: The project consists of crushing rock in the government provided Gregg quarry, hauling and placing aggregate base and surfacing materials to NFSR 60 and 60C For clarity, prospective bidders are encouraged to use the attached maps in combination with the district map which is available at forest service offices or at https://www.nationalforestmapstore.com/
Price range: Between $250,000 to $500,000 Bonding: Bonding will be required in accordance with FAR Parts 52.228-1 Bid Guarantee and 52.228-15 Performance and Payment Bonds -- Construction.
Expected Period of Performance: May 15, 2018 through August 31, 2018, approximately 45 days.
Special conditions: None known at this time but may be included in the Request For Proposal solicitation.
Government Furnished Items:
Will be enumerated in future price request solicitation.
Site Visit: Open site visit at contractor’s convenience. No formal site visit will be conducted.
Wage Decision: Davis-Bacon, more information will be provided as part of the Request For Proposal solicitation.
