About this file
This document is a technical data sheet for portable fire pumps, specifically attachment 2 providing fire pump specifications for reference in federal contract 1202SC26Q2707. The document details two primary pump models: the WATERAX MARK-3® and the WICK® 375, both designed for emergency rescue equipment used by forestry and other emergency services.
The WATERAX MARK-3® is a portable lightweight, high-pressure 4-stage fire pump powered by a 185cc 2-stroke 10 horsepower engine capable of achieving pressures up to 380 PSI (26.2 BAR) and flow rates of 98 GPM (371 L/Min). Key specifications include a detachable 4-stage centrifugal pump end with aluminum alloy components, sealed bearing design eliminating field maintenance, suction connection of 2" NPSH, discharge connection of 1-1/2" NPSH, and maximum head of 878 feet. The pump meets USDA Forest Service Specification 5100-274 and is qualified under QPL Number 274-001. Standard inclusions encompass digital overspeed switch, mechanical rotary seal, sealed bearing, powder coated carry frame, foam compatibility, spark arrestor, and operating tool kit. The unit measures 23" length by 12" width by 16-1/4" height and weighs 58.3 pounds. Multiple configurations are available including models MK3, MK3-QS, MK3-TQS, MK3-D, MK3-DTQS, MK3-U, MK3-UT, and MK3-UTK with varying engine fuel connections and optional components.
The WICK® 375 is similarly a portable four-stage high-pressure fire pump powered by a 10 HP, 210cc Solo 2-stroke air-cooled engine, featuring electronic over-speed protection, detachable 4-stage foam-compatible pump with stainless steel clamp, Nikasil cylinder wall, and detachable rewind starter for emergency rope start. The WICK® 375 is also qualified to meet USDA Specification 5100-274C and available with transportable backpack. Weight and dimensions are comparable at 56.0 pounds with 22.75" length, 14.25" width and height. Both pumps are designed for wildland firefighting applications including attack line firefighting, long hose lay operations, high elevation mountainous firefighting, and tandem/parallel pumping configurations.
