Q1. What are the packaging requirements?
• Individual boxes
• Pallet requirements
• Labels
A1. Bulk shipment is best since we have our own cartons to box them and label them.
Q2. What if the offeror can only supply a portion of the items and not all? Is that acceptable?
A2. Please refer to section i. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS, found on Page 18 of 35 of the solicitation document 1202SC22Q2715 SF-1449 Continuation, “All items on the Schedule of Items are to be completed and submitted as the offeror’s quotation. Failure to submit a completed schedule will result in the offeror’s entire quotation package being considered un-acceptable and will not be evaluated. All unit prices and total prices are limited to two (2) decimal places. The Schedule of Item is only one document of several that must be submitted with your quote.”
Q3. Will submission of quotes be directly through e-mail?
A3. Yes. As stated on Page 18 of 35 of the solicitation document 1202SC22Q2715 SF-1449 Continuation, “Quotes must be submitted by Email Only to: theresa.hood2@usda.gov.
Q4. The Specification sheet for the 6,000 lb capacity cargo nets states “18 feet +/- 6 inches”. The schedule of items states “15 feet”. Which is correct?
A3. The correct size is 18 feet +/- 6 inches.
Q5. The Specification sheet 5100-507 for the 300 lb capacity cargo nets, page 7, Table 1, item 3.7.1 states
“The mesh is not woven or braided together at the mesh intersection.” Does this mean knotted?
A4. Specification 5100-507, page 4, section 3.7.1 states: “Net Mesh. Mesh cords shall be assembled into square webbing with maximum 4.0 inch spacing and minimum 3.0 inch measured between cords, see figure 3. The mesh shall be woven/braided where the cord intersections of the mesh shall share two or more strands of the cordage with its intersection cord. A certificate of conformance shall be provided, which indicates the number of shared strands of the cordage at the mesh intersections."
Q6. Specification sheet 5100-507, page 2, item 3.2.2 states: “All cordage shall be fluorescent orange.”
Fluorescent means it glows under a black light. Is this a requirement or is high visibility orange (a.k.a.
International Orange) acceptable?
A3. High visibility orange is acceptable.
