The amendment modifies section D.2.6 - Transportation requirements for the contract. Key changes include: all vehicles must be licensed and legally operable on all roads with capability to operate on dirt or gravel roads; seatbelts must be available and used by all passengers; vehicles must be capable of off-road operation and delivering occupants to locations; vehicles used solely for transportation to and from incidents and hospitals must have operators with current medical cards and valid driver's licenses; all vehicles must meet established specifications and be maintained in good repair; vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of 10,001 pounds or greater require annual USDOT certification and current Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance inspection; operators of vehicles with GVWR of 26,001 pounds or greater must hold a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with required endorsements. Additionally, the amendment corrects the specification "60,000 LM" to "6,000 LM" and moves "OHV with Patient Extrication Capabilities, ROPS and DOT approved helmets" from the Type II Optional Equipment List to the Type II Minimum Equipment List, while removing a duplicate listing of "ALS cardiac Monitor/pacing/defibrillator with multiple leads."
