1.DESCRIPTION AND SPECIFICATIONS
Project Scope
The Sitka Ranger District has seven Romtec vault toilet buildings at Starrigavan Recreation Area that need partial roof replacement. The buildings are Romtec SST Double Restrooms with All Weather Porch. The buildings were installed in the early 1990s. The roof design at the rear gable provided insufficient protection from water damage, resulting in rotten structural members, including roof decking, purlins, eave beams, fascia, and truss. This project includes removal of the existing roof structure and replacement with a new roof having a rear eave extension that covers the vent shrouds. The porch roof will be retained.
Project Location Starrigavan Recreation Area is located in Sitka, AK, seven miles northwest of downtown. Sitka is accessed by scheduled commercial air service, scheduled barge service, and the Alaska Marine Highway ferry system.
Period of Performance
120 days for each roof.

Contractor shall not be required to disassemble equipment unless directed to do so by CO.
C. Additional equipment cleaning to the standard outlined above will be required after removal of a patch of invasive plant species located onsite and identified in the drawings. Contractor shall obtain prior approval from
