The Peace Corps, Office of the Chief Financial Officer/Acquisition and Contract Management, hereby gives notice of intent to award a logical follow-on under GS-35F-0617W, Federal Supply Schedule, Task Order PC-17- 7-057, to The 1901 Group LLC., for the continuation of services for the Peace Corps Datacenter Hosting Facility located at the Equinix Ashburn DC12 Datacenter Hosting Facility The period of performance for this effort will be a base year of 12-months with four (4) 12-month option periods.
The procurement will be issued under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 8.405-6(a)(1)(C).
The Peace Corps anticipates the award of a hybrid firm-fixed price purchase order. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 518210 - Computing Infrastructure Providers, Data Processing, Web Hosting, and Related Services.
The Peace Corps has a requirement to contract for professional services for the Peace Corps’ offsite datacenter located at the Equinix Ashburn DC12 Datacenter Hosting Facility in Ashburn, VA. The services are in accordance with the Data Center Optimization Initiative (DCOI), established by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) in memorandum M-19-19. The DCOI was designed to improve data center optimization in the federal Government and fulfills the data center requirements of the Federal Information Technology Acquisition Reform Act (FITARA). The DCOI requires federal agencies to optimize and consolidate data centers to deliver better services to the public while increasing return-on-investment to taxpayers.
The determination not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government.
Information received will be considered for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice.
This is NOT a request for quotes or proposals. Responses to this notice must demonstrate clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government, would not be cost or time prohibitive, and would not hinder the mission objective of the Peace Corps.
