About this file

This is a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by Minnesota State for St. Cloud State University's Men's and Women's Division I Hockey Equipment Supply and Sponsorship Agreement. The RFP seeks to identify a supplier to provide comprehensive hockey equipment for both men's and women's hockey teams, including items such as helmets, facemasks, gloves, pants, shoulder pads, elbow pads, shin guards, skates, performance apparel, composite sticks, goalie equipment, and travel bags. The solicitation was opened on 10/6/2023 and closed on 11/15/2023, with a proposed contract start date of June 30, 2024. The contract is intended to have a 5-year term, with the university reserving the right to seek alternative vendors if a contract is not negotiated by the specified date.

The evaluation process will be conducted by key university personnel, including the Interim Director of Athletics, Vice President of Finance and Administration, and Director of the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center. Proposals will be evaluated across four key factors: proposal outline and form submission (10%), equipment specifications (30%), services (30%), and cost (30%). The RFP requires vendors to provide detailed information about their organization, including business history, references, additional services, and a comprehensive list of equipment with associated costs. Vendors must also outline pricing strategies, potential discount incentives, usage requirements, and promotional considerations for a potential sponsorship arrangement with SCSU Hockey.
