STATEMENT OF WORK (“SOW”)
Genotyping of cranberry tissue samples - Services Provided by Vendor
• Vendor will receive leaf tissue samples from Customer. Samples will be shipped to the Vendor facilities located in the USA. The number of samples submitted in each batch may be varied, and sample identifications used to assign genotyping results for all samples will be provided by the Customer.
• Vendor shall receive, extract, process, sequence and genotype all Customer samples. Samples will be genotyped using a marker panel designed specifically to target 17,502 cranberry markers approved by the Customer.
• Vendor will create an annual sample submission calendar listing the dates on which genotyping runs for sample batches will be initiated. This will be on a weekly basis.
• Expected turnaround time: six (6) weeks from initiation of each genotyping run. Vendor will make commercially reasonable efforts to complete all genomic service projects in the shortest possible time without adversely affecting quality. Under normal circumstances, genotyping turnaround times will be measured from the commencement date of each genotyping run. Any delays predicted or identified due to exceptional circumstances will be notified by Vendor no later than the final week of the expected turnaround time following each initiated genotyping run.
• Deliverables: Vendor will provide genotyping results as a VCF file via Globus or FTP to Customer. Customer requirements for data formatting will be reasonably accommodated wherever possible for routine data deliveries. The reference genome used to identify SNPs and any additional information
• Customer is responsible for the collection, submission, and analysis of all samples and sample data beyond the deliverables described in this SOW. Samples of Customer Materials will be submitted following the most current sample submission guidelines agreed to between Customer and Vendor. All samples will be submitted with a barcode ID or similar information.
• The pricing, quality and turn-around time estimates of the Services are based upon the following assumptions:
1. The absence of technical difficulties imposed by quantity and quality of tissue or DNA provided.
2. The absence of technical difficulties imposed on the sequencing process such as highly repetitive sequences, high G/C content of the DNA, or other non-sequence viable factors.
3. The absence of technical difficulties during analysis due to a greater than typical frequency of SNPs or other complicating factor.
Other Terms
• Sample and Data Storage: Customer Materials and files will be stored for up to three (3) months after Customer Materials Data are delivered to Customer. After this period, Customer Materials will be discarded. Customer Materials Data will be stored for up to one (1) year after the conclusion of this SOW.
