PR: FD2060-22-00913 PWS REVISION: 0 2
1.0 Description of Services
1.1 Objective(s): This Performance Work Statement (PWS) describes the services required to meet the Air Force’s repair requirements for the Control Display Unit (CDU), NSN 5895-20- 010-9425GC, P/N 100-602653-000, used on the HH-60G helicopter. These services include functional testing, inspection, and repair or overhaul actions required to ensure the CDU is in serviceable condition. The Contractor shall fault isolate, repair and test unserviceable assets, as well as maintain data and complete data deliverables, all within the timeframes and quality standards negotiated on the contract. The Contractor shall track and resolve items affected by Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDR), perform depot level repair, functional testing, inspection, and packaging. A repair is successful if the item is in a serviceable condition and efficiently serves its intended purpose. The period of performance shall consist of a basic one-year period after contract award plus four one-year ordering periods. The contract type is a Firm- Fixed Price Requirements type for all ordering periods. Repairs shall be inducted within three days of receipt of the repairable asset; Teardown, Test and Evaluation (TT&E) shall be completed within 30 days after induction, repairs shall be completed within 90 days after completion of TT&E. For priority requirements such as MICAPs and Surges, the Contractor shall respond to the Supply Planner (SP) within one business day of the request with the estimated delivery date of the item. The Contractor shall report production using the Commercial Asset Visibility Air Force (CAVAF) system by maintaining current inputs. The Contractor shall provide data on the actions conducted for each unit as defined by the Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL). The Contractor shall report in CAV-AF daily or as actions occur.
The Contractor shall have no more than one valid PQDR per contract year.
1.2 Benefit to United States Air Force (USAF): This acquisition will benefit the United States Air Force (USAF) by providing a means of coverage to fulfill current and future requirements for the CDU.
1.3 Background: The HH-60G conducts day and night combat search and rescue operations into hostile environments to recover downed aircrew or other isolated personnel in austere and unfriendly territory. Because of its versatility, the HH-60G is also tasked to perform military operations other than war including civil search and rescue, emergency medical evacuation, disaster relief, international aid, and counter drug activities. A vital part of the aircrew’s mission is the ability to scan and search an area of interest and provide messages in search and rescue missions. The HH-60G helicopter requires efficient management of all situational awareness of the pilots during both day and night tactical operations. Efficient situational awareness management is key to the success of all Personnel Recovery mission sets and significantly enhances mission accomplishment. The Control Display Unit (CDU) provides centralized control and monitoring of navigational, sensor, fire control and armament functions on aircraft via the 1553B data bus. It displays mission data and permits operator entry and modification of mission data. Additionally, it provides information exchange between flight crew and navigational systems.
