SOLCITATION ADDENDUM

1. The following are questions received about the Solicitation and the State’s response to those questions:

Question # Vendor Question State’s Response

1 Required Operating Temperature Please confirm the required operating/set-point temperature for storage of the elite Christmas tree seeds, including any required acceptable temperature range or tolerance.

For example, should the unit be designed as a standard freezer operating at approximately 0°F, a lower-temperature freezer such as 10°F, or another specified temperature?

The freezer should be capable of going down to 0°F. The temperature will cycle from a high point to a low point.

The range of the cycle should be between 0°F and 10°F.

2 Freezer HeightSection 5.1 specifies exterior dimensions of 10' 11" × 13' 5" and interior dimensions of 10' 1" × 12' 7", but we did not identify a required height.

Please confirm the required exterior height andinterior clear height.

The height of the interior should be 7’-

6” and the height of the exterior from the ground should be 7’-

11” plus or minus 1”.

Also, the refrigeration unit should be on top of the freezer with an overall height of 10’-5” from the ground to the top of the refrigeration unit

Question # Vendor Question State’s Response

3 Interior/Exterior Dimensions and 6-Inch InsulationSection 5.1 also requires 6-inch insulation. The specified exterior and interior length/width dimensions result in approximately a 5 inch dimensional difference per wall.

Please confirm whether:

the stated exterior dimensions, stated interior clear dimensions, and6 inch insulation requirement must all be maintained exactly as written, or please clarify which dimensional requirement should govern if the manufacturer determines that all three cannot be achieved simultaneously with its construction method.

These clarifications will allow the manufacturer to finalize the refrigeration sizing and structural configuration accurately without making assumptions regarding NCDA&CS's intended requirements.

The insulation will be

5”.

4 Is complete installation required for this walk-in?

Installation is not required. The unit is expected to be delivered and placed on to an existing concrete slab. The vendor is expected to deliver and set the freezer. Final connections and startup will be handled by the owner (NCDA).

5 Do you have any drawings available for this project?

There are no drawings.

There is an existing concrete pad with vehicle access for the unit to be delivered exactly to the site.
