About this file

This is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by Temple Independent School District (TISD) in Texas regarding a cloud-hosted Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) solution. The District seeks information from qualified vendors to support planning efforts and inform a future solicitation for replacing its existing on-premises voice communication system. TISD currently operates approximately 18 district facilities serving approximately 8,800 students and 1,500 employees with approximately 1,000 voice endpoints. The District's existing infrastructure utilizes Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Unity, and Cisco Emergency Responder systems. The RFI does not obligate the District to issue a subsequent solicitation, award a contract, or reimburse vendors for response preparation costs.

Temple ISD's current network infrastructure comprises primarily Cisco switching with Power over Ethernet (PoE), UPN WAN and Internet connectivity, Grande/Astound SIP services, and UPS protection within all Intermediate Distribution Frames (IDFs). The District intends to transition from this on-premises system to a fully cloud-hosted UCaaS solution. The RFI seeks vendor information for planning and future procurement purposes only. No specific response deadline, pricing terms, set-asides, funding amounts, or contract award timeline is specified in this planning-phase RFI document.
