About this file

This is a Request for Proposal (RFP) document for E-Rate 2026 services issued by Tacoma School District in Washington State. The RFP seeks Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) equipment and related services to support the district's technology infrastructure. This reissued RFP 26007A specifically addresses the UPS category, which was reopened after no responsive responsible submissions were received in the initial solicitation. The document outlines technical specifications, performance requirements, and delivery expectations for UPS units to be provided to district facilities. Interested vendors must submit proposals by the specified deadline to be considered for award. The contract term and any renewal options are contingent upon the final RFP documents and award determinations made by the school district.

Pricing terms, evaluation criteria, and specific funding allocations for the UPS category are detailed within the RFP documents. The E-Rate program, which provides federal funding to schools and libraries for telecommunications and technology services, serves as the primary funding source for this procurement. Vendors responding to this reopened solicitation must meet all technical requirements and administrative compliance standards established by Tacoma School District and applicable E-Rate program guidelines. Small business set-asides or other preferences, if applicable, would be specified in the RFP documents. The district's decision to reopen this category indicates a commitment to securing qualified UPS suppliers to meet critical power continuity needs across district operations.

A District evaluation team will judge written submissions against these criteria. The evaluation team may, but need not, invite supplementation of the written submissions via oral interviews with the top-rated vendor or vendors. In this event, the oral interviews will have an additional point rating. These interviews will be conducted in order to discuss the proposals submitted and to evaluate company expertise, qualifications, operations and services deemed by Tacoma School District to be in its best interests. Different rating criteria will be used to evaluate finalists in the interview process. Cost/Pricing will continue to be the most heavily weighted criteria, as required by E-rate regulations.
