January 14, 2026

1. GENERAL

The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, Entiat National Fish Hatchery is in need for construction services to rehabilitate Well #1 to restore lost water capacity. Entiat National Fish Hatchery was built on 37 acres of land by the Bureau of Reclamation as one of the fish mitigation facilities for Grand Coulee Dam, Columbia

Basin Project. It’s been in operation since 1941. Strong salmon returns to hatchery in recent years have provided new summer Chinook fishing opportunities on the Entiat River. The Hatchery Well #1 has experienced lost water capacity over the last few years requiring well rehabilitation. Following rehabilitation in 2019, Well #1 produced approximately 400 GPM of water at 25 psi—currently, Well #1 is producing 175 GPM at 5 psi. The Well rehabilitation is needed to restore Well #1 back to original design conditions. The project consists of removing the well motor, pump, and line shaft from a 75-foot deep well and cleaning the casing. The pump set is at 60-foot depth. The well casing measures 20 inches and is slotted. The electric motor is 20 horsepower and made by U.S. Motors (Model #FB97). The pump is a

Goulds 1,770 rpm, 500 GPM line shaft turbine (Model # DWT-DITM 9RCLO).
