About this file
This document is a Statement of Work for the acquisition of TSE Stellar Telemetry devices. The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences Neurobehavioral Core is seeking to purchase 20 telemetry devices to monitor the long-term activity and physiology of group housed mice in collaboration with the Comparative Medicine Branch and Epidemiological Branch. The devices will primarily support research on sleep and health disparities but may also be used by other Neurobehavioral Core clients. Requirements include the ability to provide continuous 3-9 month monitoring and data collection. The contract will involve purchasing the devices, delivery, initial training, and surgical implantation support. The sole contractor is TSE. Security protocols must ensure compliance for wireless data collection and storage.

Introduction/Overview
Acquisition of TSE Stellar Telemetry Devices for the Neurobehavioral Core in collaboration with the Comparative Medicine Branch and Epidemiological branch at the NIEHS.
Background
The Neurobehavioral Core collaborates with laboratories that investigate behavioral and physiological responses of mice during stimulus presentations. To track the behavior, activity levels, and physiology of group housed mice, a model design has been developed in collaboration with the Comparative Medicine Branch (CMB) and Epidemiological Branch (EB), requiring the implementation of the Stellar Telemetry device. Apart from the collaboration, the Stellar Telemetry device also offers opportunities for other behavioral research projects outside of this specific collaboration.
Scope
The purchase order is for 20 telemetry devices that we expect to be used by current and future collaborators.
Objectives
The devices will be prioritized for the Sleep and Health Disparities collaboration but can be used on an as needed bases by Neurobehavioral Core current and future clients.
Requirements
The stellar telemetry devices are required to monitor the long-term activity and physiology of group housed mice. The 3–9-month continuous monitoring and data collection from the Telemetry devices will make it possible.
Tasks
Purchase, delivery, and surgery for implantation. Initial training will be required but will be coordinated by a Neurobehavioral Core lab member. TSE offers surgical assistance as needed.
