About this file
This is a Request for Proposals (RFP) issued by the City of Albuquerque's Department of Youth and Family Services (YFS) and Area Agency on Aging (AAA) for Homemaker/Personal Care/Respite Care services to be provided to seniors aged 60 and over within Bernalillo County. The RFP seeks to award multiple contracts for three service categories: Homemaker Services, Personal Care Services, and Respite Care Services. The solicitation is federally funded, with proposals due on October 31, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. Mountain Time. A non-mandatory pre-proposal conference is scheduled for October 10, 2025, at 11:00 AM. The contract is anticipated to have an initial one-year term with possible extensions of up to three additional years.
The total available funding approximates $625,000, inclusive of gross receipts tax, which will be earned through hourly rates for direct services. The services aim to support frail seniors in remaining independent in their homes and provide relief to caregivers. Bidders are not required to propose services for all three categories and can submit proposals for one or more service types. The funding comes from the City of Albuquerque/Bernalillo County Older Americans Program Area Plan, with a focus on targeting services to older individuals with the greatest economic and social needs, particularly low-income minority seniors, those with limited English proficiency, and rural residents.
