About this file

This is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by Harris County, Texas, seeking to identify available Urban Design Software Solutions capable of supporting county-wide planning, architectural visualization, early-phase design, graphic illustration, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Harris County is requesting detailed information on software capabilities across multiple domains including urban design (conceptual massing, streetscape elements, public visualization), architecture (early-phase design, form development, spatial studies), graphic illustration (diagramming, illustrative graphics, presentation-ready visuals), precision modeling, visualization (high-quality renderings), site analysis (context modeling, spatial relationships, environmental considerations), and interoperability with industry-standard tools such as CAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Blender. The RFI was released on April 2, 2026, with questions due by 12:00 PM CST on April 9, 2026, and submissions due by 5:00 PM CST on April 21, 2026. Responses must be submitted via Bonfire and should include a transmittal letter with company information and project understanding, a detailed scope of services addressing the specified capabilities, and pricing model information. No site visits, bidders' meetings, or conferences are mentioned in the RFI documentation.

This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a binding commitment by Harris County to issue a Request for Proposal or procure any products or services. Vendors must provide only a description of their pricing model structure, including licensing options (subscription, perpetual, user-based, or enterprise configurations), module grouping, and factors influencing pricing, without submitting actual pricing or cost estimates. Harris County has indicated that it may initiate industry discussions with selected vendors to clarify solution capabilities, features, and delivery methods, and selected vendors may be invited to provide product demonstrations. Vendors are prohibited from contacting Harris County personnel without express permission from the Office of the Harris County Purchasing Agent. Harris County will not be liable for any costs incurred by vendors in preparing RFI responses, all submissions become county property and will not be returned, and not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future procurement process.
