About this file
This document is a Request for Bids (RFB No. 2025-15) issued by the Conejo Valley Unified School District (CVUSD) for swimming pool chemicals to be used at three high schools: Newbury Park High School, Thousand Oaks High School, and Westlake High School. The RFB was issued on Monday, August 25, 2025, with bid advertisements published on August 25 and September 2, 2025. Potential bidders must submit their electronic bids through the District's Euna Procurement Portal by Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at 2:00 PM (PT). The initial contract term will be effective September 18, 2025, for one year, with the District having the option to unilaterally renew the contract for two additional one-year increments in accordance with Education Code Section 17596.
The RFB allows bidders to submit proposals for individual or multiple line items, with the District reserving the right to award contracts individually or collectively based on the best interest of the district. All unit prices must remain firm for the first contract year, with potential price adjustments considered only for substantial increases (more than 2%) from the supplier/manufacturer. Bidders must provide documentation substantiating any proposed price increases, which must be submitted no later than 120 days prior to the end of each annual contract period. The district emphasizes that price increases are neither automatic nor guaranteed and retains the right to reject price adjustment requests, rebid, or cancel the contract. Additionally, the RFB includes a piggyback provision allowing other California public agencies to potentially purchase items under the same terms and conditions.
