About this file

This is an E-Verify compliance requirement document issued by the Town of Palm Beach, Florida, applicable to the Automotive Batteries contract solicitation. The Town of Palm Beach invites qualified companies to provide pricing for automotive batteries with detailed specifications outlined in the Request for Bid. Quotations must include exact equivalents documented with manufacturer and part numbers. The solicitation specifies that prices must remain valid for one year, with shipping charges included in unit pricing. Items will be ordered on an as-needed basis via Purchase Orders throughout the contract term. A virtual bid opening will be conducted via Microsoft Teams, with specific date and time details provided in the Events section. The Town reserves the right to award on an all-or-none basis to a single bidder or on an item-by-item basis, and may also designate primary, secondary, and tertiary suppliers, whichever is most advantageous to the Town. All bids must be submitted on Town-provided forms with all blanks completed and no modifications permitted.

Payment terms are Net 30 days with F.O.B. delivery to West Palm Beach, Florida 33401. Vendors are not obligated to bid on all items and may quote only items they currently carry. The Town has reserved the right to make final determinations regarding the equivalency of substitute products, and such determinations are binding on all bidders. Proposers must comply with Section 448.095, Florida Statutes, by registering with the E-Verify System and verifying employment eligibility of all newly hired workers beginning January 1, 2021. All subcontractors must be registered with E-Verify and provide affidavits confirming they do not employ unauthorized aliens. Non-compliance may result in contract termination and a one-year bar from future Town of Palm Beach contracts, plus liability for additional costs incurred due to termination.
