About this file

This is a Drug-Free Workplace Certification Form required by Florida Statute 287.087 for the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners' Customer Billing, Payment, and Engagement Solution contract opportunity. The form must be completed and signed by authorized representatives of vendors bidding on this electronic payment receipt system project for the Water Resources Department. The five-year contract has an estimated value of $26,314,792.80 and requires the vendor to implement and maintain comprehensive drug-free workplace policies and procedures throughout the contract term.

The certification requires vendors to publish statements prohibiting unlawful manufacture, distribution, dispensing, possession, or use of controlled substances in the workplace; inform employees of drug abuse dangers and available assistance programs; distribute the policy statement to all employees engaged in providing the commodities or contractual services under bid; require employees to notify the employer within five days of any drug-related conviction or guilty plea; impose sanctions or require participation in rehabilitation programs for violations; and make good faith efforts to maintain a drug-free workplace. Vendors must certify full compliance with all requirements by signing and dating the form as a condition of proposal submission.
