About this file

This is a Drug-Free Workplace Certification Form required by the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners for the Payment and Program Management Software Platform contract opportunity in Florida. The form establishes compliance requirements under Florida Statute 287.087, mandating that vendors certify their adherence to drug-free workplace standards as a condition of contract eligibility. Vendors must publish statements prohibiting unlawful manufacture, distribution, dispensing, possession, or use of controlled substances in the workplace; inform employees about drug abuse dangers and available counseling or rehabilitation programs; distribute the policy statement to all employees engaged in providing the commodities or services under bid; and require employees to report any conviction or guilty plea related to controlled substance violations occurring in the workplace within five days of such conviction. The contract period is three years with an estimated value of $555,000.00.

The form requires vendors to impose sanctions on or require satisfactory participation in drug abuse assistance or rehabilitation programs for any employee convicted of drug-related violations, and to make good faith efforts to maintain a drug-free workplace through ongoing implementation of these requirements. The authorized company representative must sign and date the certification attesting to full compliance with all specified requirements. This certification document serves as a prerequisite for bid submission and contract award for the cloud-based payment and program management software solution being sought by Hillsborough County.
