About this file
This is a Drug-Free Workplace Certification Form required by the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners in Florida for competitive sealed bidding on a Wacker Neuson Plate Compactor purchase. The form, mandated under Florida Statute 287.087, establishes compliance requirements for vendors participating in the one-time equipment purchase with an estimated value of $17,950.00. Vendors must certify their adherence to comprehensive drug-free workplace policies, including publishing workplace statements prohibiting controlled substance use, informing employees of drug abuse dangers and available assistance programs, distributing policy statements to all employees engaged in contract work, and establishing notification procedures for drug-related convictions occurring in the workplace.
The certification requires vendors to impose sanctions or require participation in drug abuse rehabilitation programs for employees convicted of drug violations and to demonstrate good faith efforts in maintaining a drug-free workplace environment. The authorized company representative must sign and date the form to verify full compliance with all six enumerated requirements under Florida law. This certification serves as a mandatory prerequisite for bid submission and reflects Florida's statutory requirements for all state and local government contracts.
