About this file

This is a Drug-Free Workplace Certification Form required by Florida Statute 287.087 for vendors bidding on the Hillsborough County Pet Resources Department's Cat Sterilization and Vaccination Certificate Program. The program seeks licensed veterinarians with permitted veterinary establishments to provide spay, neuter, and vaccination services exclusively for stray cats and kittens taken in by Hillsborough County through the Pet Resources Center. The estimated project budget is $200,000.00. Vendors must complete and submit the certification form as part of their bid response, with an authorized representative's signature and date required on the document.

The Drug-Free Workplace Certification requires vendors to certify compliance with six specific requirements: publishing a workplace drug prohibition statement to employees, informing employees of drug abuse dangers and available assistance programs, distributing the policy statement to all employees providing services under the contract, notifying employees of reporting obligations for drug-related convictions within five days, imposing sanctions or requiring rehabilitation program participation for violations, and maintaining good faith efforts to sustain a drug-free workplace. This certification is a mandatory compliance document for all bidders on this state and local contract opportunity in Florida.
