STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW)
Project Title: VGLZ 182012 Munitions Area Modifications 2 April 2020 The work shall be in strict compliance with this SOW, the specifications and the plans. Sections of this SOW may supersede the requirements of the specifications, in which case the more stringent/higher quality requirements shall apply. Work will be coordinated with Base Operations. Keep work site clean at all times to prevent FOD. A Macomb County Soil Erosion Permit will be required for this project. The contractor shall obtain, pay for and follow the requirements of this permit.
1. STATEMENT OF WORK
a. This project generally consists of removing and replacing approximately 6,886 square yards of concrete pavement panels in the Building 892 area and other related work.
b. This work also generally includes salvaging and repairing fencing, replacing two vehicles gates and storm drainage work.
c. Work is to be completed as a “Fixed Price Construction Contract.” Estimated quantities provided on the plans sheets are provided for the bidders use and to provide for a consistent basis for the Contract Fixed Price.

a. Munitions Area Modifications Specification and Contract Documents dated March 2020. Prepared by Anderson Eckstein & Westrick Inc. Civil Engineers Surveyors, Architects.
b. Munitions Area Modifications 100% Design Plans dated 6 Mar 2020, 16 sheets.
3. PROJECT CRITERIA
a. Refer to attached design plans and specifications.
4. INITIATION OF WORK
a. The contractor may not proceed or initiate any work prior to receipt of original notice to proceed. Any work done without being directed to do so by the Contracting Officer shall be at the contractors own risk.
5. GOVERNMENT REVIEW
a. All materials, components, and equipment shall be specified for approval by the Contracting Officer. All items designated for submittal and test shall be sufficiently described to provide the government a basis for review and approval or disapproval.
