About this file
This is a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab), managed by Fermi Forward Discovery Group for the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Science, for the procurement of insulating vacuum valves. RFP 379092-GMG seeks firm fixed pricing for 24 HV gate valves (DN 160, 6" flange) with CF-F fixed flange metric threads, stainless steel body, and pneumatic actuation with position indicator and double-acting solenoid valve. The optional port specification is CF-F 40 "A"+"B". Quotations close March 19, 2026, at 4:00 PM Central Time, with contractual questions due by March 11, 2026, at 4:00 PM CT. The procurement work is performed under U.S. Department of Energy prime contract DE AC02 07CH11359.
Award will be made on a Low Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) basis to a responsible supplier whose proposal is technically acceptable and offers the lowest evaluated price, with no discussions anticipated. The RFP response must include a completed RFP page with pricing, a completed SARC (Subcontractor Annual Reps & Certs) form, and a PUR-466 (Proposal Certifications) form. The statement of work specifies that valves must be cleaned and packed per Ultra High Vacuum (UHV) procedures and arrive ready for UHV use. Acceptance criteria require inspection upon receipt, actuation prior to installation, and leak checking of 10% of each valve type within four weeks of delivery. All valves of the same type must be delivered together. The applicable terms and conditions are the FFDG General Terms and Conditions for Commercial Products and Commercial Services (08/2025), available at https://procurement.fnal.gov/terms-conditions/. Inquiries should be directed to Grace Gomez, Procurement Specialist II, at ggomez@fnal.gov or 630-840-2840.
