About this file

This Request for Proposal (RFP) 369612-GMG is issued by Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory for procurement of 24 Edwards Vacuum PV40EKA Solenoid Angle Valves for the Superconducting Linac (SCL) insulating vacuum within the PIP-II accelerator. The valves must meet detailed technical specifications, including being a vacuum right-angle valve with solenoid/electromagnetic actuation, DN 40 ISO-KF flanges, aluminum body, FKM seals, 110-127V single-phase power, bellows sealed, and fail-closed during power failure.

The solicitation is a best value source selection with proposals due on June 4, 2025. Vendors must submit a completed RFP page, SARC Form, and PUR-466 Form. The valves will be procured under prime contract DE AC02 07CH11359 with the U.S. Department of Energy, and will undergo visual inspection and 10% leak checking upon delivery. Fermi Forward Discovery Group (FFDG) intends to award without discussions to the lowest-priced technically acceptable offeror, with delivery to Fermilab's Receiving Warehouse 2 in Batavia, IL.
