Dear Quoter:
Enclosed is a solicitation package prepared by the Contracting Office from the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Medical Center Devens located in Ayer, Massachusetts. This acquisition is for various food service products needed for the facility. This package contains all the necessary information for submitting a request for quote which will be evaluated.
In submitting the request for quote (RFQ), quoters should consider all information provided herein. Please carefully follow all instructions located in the solicitation package concerning the content, format, and submission of your quote. Please note, failure to comply with the instructions may lead to the exclusion of the quote provided by the quoter.
All potential quoters are advised that this solicitation includes the provision 52.204-7 System for Award Management. This provision reads: FAR 52.204-7(b)(1) “An Offeror is required to be registered in SAM when submitting an offer or quotation and shall continue to be registered until time of award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract, basic agreement, basic ordering agreement, or blanket purchasing agreement resulting from this solicitation.”.
Quoters must include their Unique Entity ID (UEI) in their offers. Vendors must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM), www.sam.gov. The Contracting Officer will verify registration in the SAM database prior to award by entering the potential awardee’s UEI into the SAM database. Failure to complete the registration procedures outlined in this clause may result in the elimination from consideration for award.
The Government reserves the right upon award to make formal single or multiple awards. The Government will award to the responsible vendor(s) whose quote conforms to the solicitation and is considered the best overall value to the Government based on price, delivery time, and past performance.
Quotes must be received on or before the deadline of March 8, 2024 at 10:00 AM Eastern Standard Time.

Please do not submit quotes to any location other than the one listed above. Quotes received after the deadline will not be considered.

If you do not supply an item or meet the attached delivery schedule it will be noted as a performance issue, which may result in an exclusion from future awards.

All orders will be placed on a Government purchase card or Purchase Order at the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
Awarded pricing will only be available at www.sam.gov on or about March 20, 2024.
