SUBJECT: Questions and Answers, Solicitation 1282B123R0048, Crooked River Aggregate Stockpiling - R4 Idaho

Contractor Questions:

1. Where is the supply source for the aggregate? Is it government furnished, or contractor?

supplied?

Forest Service Answer: Contractor Supplied

2. Is this a service contract and no bid bond required?

Forest Service Answer: This is a supply contract, and a bid bond is not required.

3. Provided are the lab results of the gradation test do you concur with the results?

Forest Service Answer: Aggregate does meet specification.

4. Would the lab test for F gradation that I have submitted be considered close enough for the job in Solicitation #1282B123R0048? If there is an area on the results that would not be close enough to the gradation F that the advertisement is requiring, I would like to have input from your evaluation team as to what I can do to get my 5000 cubic yards to meet this gradation F.

Forest Service Answer: Our concerns are with the ¾” and #40 outside of the allowable deviation. In the report it refers to the cleaner section, this also brings concerns. We would suggest having Allwest provide the sampling and retest the material. Please refer to Page 24 of the PDF document, Table 301-1, Sampling, Testing, and Acceptance Requirements in the Aggregate FSSS, which was included as Attachment 2 in the original Solicitation.
