Statement of Work

U.S. Customs and Border Protection U.S. Border Patrol – San Diego Sector

Title: ARJIS and eSUN Access

1. BACKGROUND:

The U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) San Diego Sector (SDC) utilizes a variety of data sources to support law enforcement field operations and to analyze information collected during intelligence operations.

The Automated Regional Information System (ARJIS) and San Diego Users Network/California Law Enforcement Telecommunications System (SUN/CLETS) are two systems that are critical to SDC intelligence operations. Together, the systems are collectively known as ARJISnet.

ARJISnet was created to share information among justice agencies throughout San Diego and Imperial Counties, California and has evolved into a complex criminal justice enterprise network used by 80+local, state, and federal agencies in the two California counties that border Mexico. The County of San Diego Public Safety Group and the San Diego Sheriff’s Department created the eSUN system as a re-hosting of the legacy SUN/CLETS system.

2. SCOPE:

San Diego Sector currently requires continued access to the secure law enforcement intranet called ARJISnet.

Connection to this network is required of all law enforcement (LE) agencies to access the regional, state and federal LE systems and applications, including SDLaw (the Sheriff’s suite of services). It includes network connectivity to an agency’s facility, 24/7 system monitoring and network maintenance as required.
