STATEMENT OF WORK

NIMITZ LIBRARY SUBSCRIPTION REQUIREMENTS

A. Background

The Nimitz Library at the U.S. Naval Academy is an academic library in support a patron population of approximately 4,520 midshipman, 600 faculty, and 3,000 other staff and military personnel. To meet the academic/educational mission requirements of the Naval Academy, the Nimitz Library purchases scholarly content in the form of scholarly journals and databases. This content is an integral part of the Library’s collections and services as curriculum and course development as well as midshipman and faculty research are dependent upon them.

B. Scope In order to sustain Library performance, support and advance the educational mission of the Academy, and provide the necessary resources to sustain faculty research agendas, the Nimitz Library must own key scholarly materials in the humanities, sciences, engineering, and professions. These resources must provide the uniquely curated intellectual property necessary for the Academy’s specific educational and research needs.

C. Requirements

a. Full-text access to IOP Science

b. Articles must be indexable by the Library’s Ex Libris system.

c. Publisher POC should respond within one business day to all technical and content questions and problems posed by the Library’s POC.

d. The content provider must be able to be signatory on bi-lateral license and terms & conditions agreements.

D. Deliverables

a. Yearly Subscription to IOP Science, which provides access to all of the above in section C, for a base year contract with 4 optional additional years.

E. Period of Performance

i. 1/1/2024-12/31/2024

ii. 1/1/2025-12/31/2025

iii. 1/1/2026-12/31/2026

iv. 1/1/2027-12/31/2027

v. 1/1/2028-12/31/2028
