About this file
This document is a bill of material and solicitation for a brand name only procurement of a Heska Element HT5+ Veterinary Hematology Analyzer. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases is seeking one Hematology Analyzer and six months of controls from Heska, to be delivered to Bethesda, Maryland, with shipping and installation included. The procurement is being conducted on a brand name only basis due to continuity of care protocols and compatibility needs within the agency's existing laboratory space and experiments. The analyzer must meet specified dimensions and capabilities, including blood chemistry results within 90 seconds, compatibility with Heska's software, third generation dye technology, and the ability to perform a complete blood count and related tests.

| Due to continuity protocols, compatibility requirements, and the limited space available, the Element HT5+ brand is required. Experiments in progress in the lab and with collaborators have been conducted using this instrument and the lab must continue to use this brand through the life cycle of the studies to avoid introducing outside variables resulting in corruption of our experiments. This brand is required as it will be used simultaneously with another, and with collaborators. |
