About this file

This Request for Proposal (RFP) document is issued by the Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City Independent School District (SCUC ISD) in Texas for the provision and installation of Commercial Food Service Serving Line Equipment. SCUC ISD is soliciting proposals to replace existing cafeteria serving lines at two intermediate schools: Laura Ingalls Wilder Intermediate School and Barbara C. Jordan Intermediate School. The project requires vendors to provide four new serving lines (two per campus), with each line containing drop-in wells to accommodate approximately five hot wells and four cold wells at least 6 inches deep, with a combined length not exceeding 26 feet. The final deadline for proposal submission is August 4, 2026, at 2:00 PM via the Euna Bonfire bidding platform. The District anticipates Board approval on September 17, 2026, with the contract beginning September 18, 2026, and all work must be completed by November 20, 2026. Questions must be submitted by July 22, 2026, at 12:00 PM. No pre-proposal meeting is required. The contract will be awarded to one contractor, and the District reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.

The evaluation will be based on proposed pricing (40%), experience and qualifications (20%), and proposed plan (40%), with the District selecting the vendor offering the greatest overall value rather than the lowest price. Contractors must cover all costs including removal of existing equipment, delivery, installation, permits, labor, materials, and supplies. All serving line components must comply with local electrical and plumbing codes (NEC, UEC, UPC, IPC, IEC), be manufactured by UL-listed or NRTL-recognized facilities, and include NSF/ANSI 2 certification. The contractor must provide a minimum one-year warranty against defects in material and workmanship and is responsible for return shipment of any defective goods. Pricing terms are Net 30 days, with offerors permitted to propose prompt payment discounts such as 2%/10 days. The District retains the right to terminate the contract at any time with or without cause and without penalty, and contractors must be directly supervised by the contractor's immediate team, as subcontractor supervision is not acceptable. All work must be scheduled and approved by the District representative, and the contractor is responsible for protecting District property during removal and installation.

Any exception must be clearly defined and referenced in the proper paragraph in this Solicitation. Objections we consider excessive or affecting vital terms may reduce or eliminate your prospects for the award.
