The project, identified as STP 2026(698)HESG, involves installation of adaptive traffic signal systems and related equipment on various roadways along a 6.0-mile College Street Corridor interconnect signals initiative. The work consists of eight primary bid items: mobilization, barricades and traffic handling, truck-mounted attenuators, highway traffic signal upgrades (8 locations), video imaging vehicle detection system cabling (2,640 linear feet) and camera assemblies (9 units), cellular router installation (13 units), and adaptive traffic signal control systems (14 units). A proposal guaranty in the amount of $21,000.00 is required, which may be submitted as a cashier's check, teller's check, bank money order, or bid bond. Contractors must submit a satisfactory audited financial statement and experience questionnaire at least ten days prior to the letting date. Unit prices must be submitted for each bid item in accordance with Item 2 of the standard specifications. The contract is subject to federal aid restrictions, including E-Verify requirements for all workers, nondiscrimination and equal employment opportunity provisions, Davis-Bacon prevailing wage requirements, and prohibitions on use of telecommunications equipment from specified manufacturers. No Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal has been established for this project (0%). The work is subject to strict traffic control requirements, including lane closure restrictions during peak hours, holidays, and hurricane warnings. The contractor is responsible for all temporary traffic control, erosion and sedimentation controls, equipment removal, utility location verification, and compliance with all federal and state labor standards. Workers' compensation bonds and performance bonds equal to the full contract amount are required upon award.
