About this file
This is Addendum No. 1 to an Invitation for Bid (IFB) #07A6296 issued by the California Department of Transportation, Administration Division of Procurement and Contracts, for Painting and Repair Services in Ventura County. The addendum addresses two questions submitted by prospective bidders regarding the scope and execution of the work. Regarding subcontracting, the Department confirmed that metal work can be subcontracted by bidders holding B and C-33 licenses, with the C-43 Sheet Metal Contractor license available for subcontracting per IFB Solicitation Item B.2. Concerning site inspection, the Department declined to schedule a formal job walk, directing bidders instead to reference the Scope of Work Attachment 3 (Pictures of Fuel Island and Wash Rack Canopies) and Scope of Work Exhibit A, Items 6.B and 6.D for approximate measurements and project details.
All other terms and conditions of the original IFB remain in full force and effect. Bidders are expected to evaluate the project scope based on the provided documentation, photographs, and measurements without the opportunity for an in-person site inspection. The addendum was issued on March 13, 2026, and represents clarifications necessary for prospective bidders to submit responsive bids.
