About this file
This is Addendum No. 2 to Invitation for Bid (IFB) #07A6280 issued by the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), Administration Division of Procurement and Contracts, dated March 17, 2026. The IFB seeks a contractor to remove and dispose of an existing modular structure and design, fabricate, transport, deliver, and install a new 24-foot by 60-foot modular office building in Los Angeles County, including detaching and reconnecting existing utilities. The addendum addresses clarifications regarding the building's use, site conditions, and technical specifications through responses to eight bidder questions. Key clarifications include confirmation that the trailer will be used strictly for office purposes without living quarters, that the property is not in a WUII regulated region, that no existing fire alarm system is present, and that the electrical panel is 480 three-phase. Contractors are required to match existing dimensions for appliances and plumbing locations, provide new cabinetry, and furnish design layouts matching the current configuration. A mandatory site inspection was scheduled as part of the solicitation process.
The addendum establishes that contractors must provide all labor, materials, parts, supplies, equipment, tools, licenses, permits, travel, and disposal fees necessary for project completion. Bidders are directed to refer to STD 213, Exhibit A, Attachment 3 for existing modular building photos and floor plan references. The Department declined to provide responses regarding California sales tax classification, stating such questions fall outside the scope of IFB-related inquiries. All terms and conditions of the original IFB remain in full force and effect. The addendum was issued by Catherine Andersen, Contract Analyst for the Department of Transportation.
