About this file
This is Addendum One to Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. 07A3944 issued by the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) on April 8, 2016, for District 7 Drain Inlet Facilities Inspections. The addendum provides answers to questions submitted by potential bidders regarding the IFB, specifically clarifying new requirements for prevailing wages and bid bonds that were not required in previous similar contracts.
The addendum establishes that prevailing wages are required for the duration of the agreement because it is classified as a Public Works Agreement requiring a Class A General Engineering Contractor License. Additionally, a bid bond is now required since the contract value is $291,000 or greater. All other terms and conditions in the original IFB remain in full force and effect.
