About this file
This document is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) from Contra Costa County Public Works Road Maintenance Division for fencing materials and parts. The County is seeking specialized vendors to supply various fencing-related items, including 6' brown slated fences, cyclone fences, hog rings, tension bars, hog panels, expanded metal, posts, nuts and bolts, and barbed wire rolls. The IFB was released on July 30, 2025, with bids due by August 27, 2025, at 3:30 P.M. PDT. The initial contract term is three years, with options for two additional one-year renewals. The County may award the contract to multiple contractors and requires vendors to be located within a 50-mile radius of Martinez, CA.
Pricing terms include F.O.B. destination pricing with an 8.750% sales tax rate, and prices will remain firm for the first year. Vendors can request price adjustments annually based on the Producers Price Index for Metals & Metal Products: Steel Fencing and Fence Gates. The County offers a local business preference for bids over $25,000, where local vendors within Contra Costa County can submit competitive bids. Bidder minimum qualifications include being in the fencing materials business for at least five years, possessing necessary licenses, and providing customer references. The selection process will focus on the total bid amount, compliance with specifications, and customer references, with the contract awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
