Solicitation Q&A

RFQ #05GA0A22Q0041

Corporate Registration Data

1. Is this a re-compete or new requirement? If re-compete who is the incumbent?

Government Response: This is a new requirement.

2. Regarding volume of records, are you looking for every company in the US or just active? Is there any other way you would like that file narrowed down?

Government Response: We require all available records from each US state-based corporate registry, like Secretaries of State. These records should include both active and inactive companies if available based on the data collected for each state’s registry.

3. Do you need archival data for their research? If so, how many years back?

Government Response: We do not require archival registration data.

4. Would GAO consider making the following data requirements optional: company non-profit status; company incorporation date; and company current incorporation/active status? Doing so would allow vendors to present more cost-effective solutions for GAO’s consideration.

Government Response: The company incorporation date and company current incorporation/active status is required for all states where this information is made available.

Company non-profit status is optional.

5. Would GAO consider receiving the required large-scale bulk-data download in .txt file format instead of .csv format?

Government Response: Yes, a delimited or fixed-width .txt file would be acceptable.

6. Will the title page, cover letter, and table of contents count against the 10-page technical approach limit?

Government Response: The title page, cover letter or the table contents does not count towards the ten-page limit.

7. Should vendors submit the technical approach and pricing in two separate volumes? If not, can

GAO increase the page limit to 20 pages?

Government Response: Yes. The technical approach and the price should in separate volumes.

8. Is there an incumbent on this contract? If so, who is the incumbent and what is the current contract value?

Government Response: Please see #1, above.
