About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for a Pressure Washing solicitation from the Government Publishing Office (GPO). The Q&A addresses two key points regarding a cleaning project for bronze and brass doors and frames. The first question clarifies the restoration level for the Main Entrance located at 732 N. Capitol St., NW, which will receive a standard cleaning to remove most oxidation and make the surfaces look presentable. The second question seeks clarification on the washing frequency for four different areas, with the document directing interested parties to consult the Statement of Work for specific location frequencies.

Pressure Washing Q&A

1. Given the severe corrosion and oxidation on the bronze and brass doors and frames, can you confirm the level of work you want, whether that is a standard cleaning to remove most oxidation, so they look presentable or a full restoration to a mirror like finish with a protective coating?

The Main Entrance (732 N. Capitol St., NW) is the only entrance where the Doors and Door Frame will be cleaned and polished to a standard level to remove most oxidation, so they look presentable.

2. Is GPO looking for all 4 areas to be washed every 2 weeks, or is GPO looking for 3 areas to be washed once and 1 area to be washed every 2 weeks for a year?

Please refer to the Statement of Work for the frequency of each location.
