About this file
This federal solicitation seeks proposals for 1-800 phone number services to support the National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled. Offerors must provide an interactive voice response system and softphone technology to manage incoming calls to the toll-free number 1-888-NLS-READ. The system will connect callers to library services for the blind across the United States and its territories. It will also support a decentralized playback device repair help desk. The solicitation estimates annual call volumes of 25,000 to 48,000 calls. Offeror questions are due by February 16, 2024 and proposals are due by March 1, 2024. The Library of Congress intends to award a firm-fixed price contract and will provide voice recordings for the interactive voice response system.
