This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for upfitting two Chevrolet Silverado 1500 4x4 crew cab pickup trucks to function as Fire Command vehicles. The government has provided the base trucks, purchased through GSA Auto Choice, and is responsible for 50% of the upfit costs, which will be paid through the Working Capital Fund.
The contractor is required to install emergency lighting, a siren/PA system, and a center console to accommodate radio equipment and storage. The vehicles must be marked with fire department-style striping, decals, and unit/equipment designators as specified in the appendix. The contractor will have 30 days to start the upfit work and 60 days to complete it once the vehicles are delivered. The government will provide the door badges already installed on the trucks.

Project:
Upfit of Fire Command Pickups
1.0 Scope of Work:
Upfit two each Chevy Silverado 1500 4x4 Crew cab pickups to function as Fire Command vehicles. Cost will be split 50/50 and paid with WCF funds. Payment to vender must be made through IPP.
2.0 Background:
Base trucks have been purchased via GSA Auto Choice and are ready to be upfitted as soon as contract is awarded.

Contractor is responsible for upfit to Fire Command vehicle in accordance with requirements below.
3.0 Technical Requirements / Tasks
Vender is responsible for installation of all equipment and associate wiring.
Emergency lighting will include a full-size roof mounted LED light bar and LED lights in lower Zone A, B, C, & D. Light colors will be red and yellow Emergency Lighting will meet minimum NFPA 1901 Standards. . See appendix for diagram.
Siron/PA system: Speaker to be mounted behind grill. Controls can either be integrated with emergency lighting system or stand alone. Stand alone, control box will be mounted in center console.
Center console: Console must be bolted to floor; sheet metal screw will not fulfil this requirement. The console is required to fit between the front driver’s seat and extend to the front passenger seat. There must be approximately 2 inches between the sides of the console to each seat but no more than 4 inches. The console must mount two each, BK M-150 radios, control boxes for siren and light bar, Blank space for additional control box or Radio, 4 ea. standard cup holders. 2 front and 2 rear. Console will need 1 compartment at least 10 in deep by 12 in length measured from front to back of vehicle for storage. Console may extend in to back passenger area to rear seat. Removed center seat section will be returned to the Forest Service and Fleet will store until vehicle is removed from service.
Markings: Vender will provide striping and marking in accordance with diagram and specifications in Appendix. Specific unit designator and equipment designator will be provided upon award of contract. Vender is response for purchasing all marking materials except for door badges already on the trucks.
Appendix
VEHICLE:
4x4 wheel drive pick-up truck; single, extended or crew cab, white in color. Include the following options: short bed body, special traction differential, towing/ mountain ratio, engine block heater, all terrain tires, increased output alternator, 50-state legal tinting, and cruise control. The following options are authorized on pickups but must be approved by both regional fleet and fire management: power mirrors, power windows, power door locks with keyless entry, & trailer brakes/receiver hitches. OPTIONAL MINIMUM RLS EQUIPMENT: Lightbar (forward, side, & rear facing warning lights), grill lights, console and siren/speaker/ control head.

STRIPE ILLUSTRATION:
1" white reflective stripe centered on 4" green reflective stripe, cut at 45° angle to allow for designators.
SIDE:
1" white reflective stripe centered on 4" green reflective stripe, cut at 45° angle to allow for 4" FIRE decal white reflective over rear wheels and;
4" Equipment designator on front fender.
REAR:
4" Unit designator, black non-reflective on drivers's side;
4" Equipment designator, black non reflective passenger's side.
DOOR DECAL:
* 1O' FS shield white with brown border/ lettering.
* 7/16' FOR OFFICIAL USE ONLY, brown
* 5/8" US GOVERNMENT, brown
• 1-1/2" Equipment number, brown
• All reflective vinyl, placed middle of door below stripe.
