About this file

This is a Scope of Work document for DFW Airport's Grease Interceptor Inspection and Cleaning Services contract. The contract encompasses grease interceptor maintenance services across Dallas/Fort Worth Airport facilities over a five-year period with no renewal options. The scope of work outlines the inspection, cleaning, and maintenance requirements for grease interceptors located throughout the airport's food service and operational areas. Contractors must provide comprehensive inspection services to identify grease accumulation, blockages, and maintenance needs, followed by professional cleaning and disposal of collected materials in compliance with environmental regulations. The contract specifies performance standards, frequency of inspections and cleaning cycles, equipment requirements, and response protocols for emergency situations.

The pricing structure and specific payment terms, set-aside provisions, incumbent contractor information, and funding amounts are not detailed in this summary document. Contractors responding to this opportunity should review the complete scope of work for detailed technical specifications, service level agreements, safety requirements, and any additional exhibits or addenda that may modify or supplement the core requirements. Prospective bidders should confirm all submission deadlines, required qualifications, insurance and bonding requirements, and any pre-bid meetings or site visit schedules directly with DFW Airport's procurement department.

The Airport reserves the right to increase or decrease the frequency of the services as it is deemed necessary to meet the Airport’s needs.

1.2 Disposal of the waste grease, wastewater, sludge, and debris will be at a DFW approved disposal facility, depending on the type of waste material. The Contractor shall develop a Solid

Waste Management Plan for review and approval by DFW Environmental Affairs Department. An example of a Solid Waste Management Plan is provided in Exhibit 3, Example Solid Waste

Management Plan, and Spill Response Plan.

1.3 While performing work on the airport, the Contractor shall be required to have in their possession a

Spill Response Plan and have all equipment and materials to implement the plan in case of a spill due to inspection or cleaning of any structures as well as that the Contractor’s service equipment may cause. A Spill Response Plan template for use by the Contractor in developing the plan, to be reviewed and approved by DFW Environment Affairs Department, is provided in Exhibit 3, Example Solid Waste Management Plan and Spill Response Plan.

1.4 Some work shall be performed on the Air Operation Areas (AOA), and, therefore, AOA procedural requirements shall be strictly adhered to by the Contractor. Refer to Exhibit 4, Section 01

Note: Most interceptors need about 12 cleanings per year. Some of our capital projects are installing new interceptors with larger capacity, and some existing interceptors may be removed as part of this work. Please keep in mind that this is only an estimate—the actual number of cleanings will depend on the results of the monthly inspections.

Emergency Response TBD 2

Note: Most interceptors need about 12 cleanings per year. Some of our capital projects are installing new interceptors with larger capacity, and some existing interceptors may be removed as part of this work. Please keep in mind that this is only an estimate—the actual number of cleanings will depend on the results of the monthly inspections.

Prices will not be adjusted.
