The document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the 60th Maintenance Squadron (60 MXS) seeking a 500-gallon Liquid Oxygen (LOX) trailer from Essex Industries. The specific requirement is for a trailer (P/N 50C-0115-1) with precise technical specifications, including 500-gallon capacity, ability to be towed by flightline vehicles, operation at 50 PSIG, and compliance with Air Force standards PD13WEGRVEA05 and MIL-STD-810.

The procurement includes comprehensive requirements beyond the trailer itself, such as mandatory end-user operational training for 25 personnel, additional technical training for 25 Electrical and Environmental Systems Technicians, a 12-month equipment warranty, and inclusion of all freight, handling, and labor charges. The Sources Sought notice indicates the Air Force is specifically seeking small businesses, including Small Disadvantaged Businesses, HUBZone Firms, 8(a) certified firms, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, and Woman Owned Small Businesses to provide this equipment. Statement of Work For

60 MXS/MXMCE

Description: The 60th MXS requires a 500-gallon Liquid Oxygen (LOX) trailer. This trailer has a myriad of purposes, including but not limited to: Serving aircraft LOX converters, Next-Gen Patient Therapeutic LOX Converters, and 50-gallon LOX carts. Moreover, it greatly increases servicing capability while deployed in austere locations due to its mobility (e.g. When the C-17s staged out of Panama in Nov 2024, they took two pre-filled 50-gallon LOX carts and had to received new carts through the duration of the deployment due to lack of servicing capability). Without this asset, logistics will continue to be affected due to prioritizing locations with servicing capability. This is a Brand name request.
