Statement of Requirements Publication of Military Microgrid Book
Department of Systems Engineering Naval Postgraduate School
1.0 Background/Introduction:
Springer is the world's leading publisher in design engineering, mechanics, mechanical engineering, robotics and manufacturing engineering – publishing more books in these subjects than any other publishing company.
Springer works closely with a large global community of academic researchers and educators who, through their work, want to solve problems and disseminate their ideas, and leave the world better than they found it. They work to reduce our environmental footprint, to promote an inclusive environment, rich in diversity, and to forge links with the communities they serve.
Dr. Douglas Van Bossuyt, with his colleagues, are in the process of editing a book. The textbook is about military microgrids. We are requesting to have the book published in open access and are intending to put out a new edition at a cadence of every 1-2 years. This book is an important contribution to the published books on Microgrids principally because it is geared towards the military microgrid and is very suitable as a textbook for the target audience: military base power managers, staff, military personnel and officers
