QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
SOLICITATION: 0010942487
Question: In response to solicitation Number: 0010942487, what areas are looking to be targeted and what type of advertising?
Answer: We are looking to target an audience of academic professors, across a wide range of disciplines and experience. Sometimes we want a professor of research, that is, a well-established, nationally recognized scholar with a strong publication record; sometimes we are looking for a professor of academics, that is, a less experienced, even non-PhD graduate-level academic looking for an entry-level or mid-level position (and hence can be hired inexpensively); at others we are looking for a professor of practice who understands the workings of the Department of Defense from the inside (retired military officers tend to gravitate to these practitioner positions). It is not a one-size-fits-all kind of business. Hence we need the capability to advertise across a broad spectrum of potential applicants, also referred to as "reach" for all intents and purposes. At the same time, we need the ability to target specific, narrow fields, but that can usually be done often through less expensive venues. Those advertisements generally run less than $300.00 and can be handled through a Government-wide Purchase Card (GPC) buy.
As to what type of advertising, at this time we are trying to limit print advertising and move to Internet platforms.
