About this file

This is a Request for Bid (RFB) form issued by the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) for an on-call Region 2 paving work order. The project, designated as OR6 MP 30.5 Paving, involves grinding and paving a sunken area measuring 35 feet wide by 750 feet long located near Drift Creek Trailhead in Tillamook County. The work comprises six line items: mobilization (1 lump sum), temporary work zone traffic control (1 lump sum), pollution control plan (1 lump sum), cold plane pavement removal at 2 inches deep (2,917 square yards), Level 3 dense asphalt concrete pavement mixture application (328 tons), and longitudinal pavement markings in paint (2,437 linear feet). The bid submission deadline is April 30, 2024, at 2:00 PM, with a required project completion date of September 27, 2024. ODOT Project Manager Cody Stone and Site Representative Kyle Elliott oversee the project, with detailed site information provided via Google Maps coordinates.

The RFB requires contractors to submit unit and total prices for all bid items through the OregonBuys portal and complete a contractor information section with company details, CCB number, and authorized signature. Contractors must comply with prevailing wage rates established by the State of Oregon as of January 5, 2024, and amended April 4, 2024, as published by the Department of Bureau of Labor and Industries. Traffic control restrictions include no weekend closures during summer months (Memorial Day through October 1) and no holiday closures, with general road closure hours limited to Monday through Thursday between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Portable changeable message signs must be positioned a minimum of seven days before any ramp or lane closure. The agency will mark paving limits in the field, and contractors must sweep and clean the cold planed surface before reopening to traffic. Payment will be based on actual quantities performed rather than estimated quantities provided in the bid.
