About this file

This document is a Request for Bid (RFB) for an on-call paving project on Interstate 5 in Oregon. The project, which is being managed by the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT), involves regrading and paving a 3-inch lift to widen the shoulder from 11 feet to 13 feet over a 1,900-foot section between mileposts 234.56 and 234.95. The project has a required completion date of September 30, 2023, and ODOT is seeking bids from contractors who hold the On-Call Region 2 Paving Price Agreement. The RFB provides details on the anticipated work items, including mobilization, temporary traffic control, paving, and aggregate base, as well as project-specific requirements such as the use of prevailing wage rates and traffic control measures.

The RFB indicates that payment to the contractor will be based on actual quantities provided and performed. No compaction testing is required for this project. The project is located within Marion County and the City of Salem, and only price agreement holders are eligible to submit bids, which are due by August 10, 2023, at 11:00 am.
