About this file
This document is a Notice of No Significant Impact on the Environment from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Environmental Protection Division (EPD) and the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority (GEFA) regarding a loan application from Bartow County for the construction of a new pump station and force main.
The project consists of constructing a duplex pump station and installing approximately 28,982 linear feet of 12-inch force main to serve the western part of Bartow County. The total project cost is $6,324,439, with an anticipated SRF loan amount of $6,000,000. The project will provide sewer service for the future population in the western area of Bartow County and replace the need for the proposed West Bartow Water Pollution Control Plant. Minor temporary impacts during construction, such as noise, dust, and erosion/sedimentation, will be mitigated through best management practices. The project will be located in the 100-year floodplain, but the scope of work will not impact the floodplain. No impacts to existing buildings are anticipated, and current wastewater rates are not expected to increase as a result of the project.
