UNSPSC 94111802: Vatican pilgrimage organizations or services

UNSPSC 94111802 Vatican pilgrimage organizations or services (Commodity) shows minimal alignment with actual state and local procurement activity. The code nominally addresses religious pilgrimage services to Vatican sites, yet the three recent opportunities tagged to it are unrelated: library and chaplaincy services at county correctional facilities, kosher food preparation inspection, and municipal park irrigation system improvements. None of these solicitations involve pilgrimage organization, Vatican travel coordination, or religious tourism services. The mismatch suggests either incorrect code assignment by the issuing bodies or that this Commodity code does not reflect current state and local buying patterns in practice.

The recent opportunities originate from a county sheriff's office (San Mateo County, California), a county government (Grand County, Colorado), and a municipal public works function (City of DeBary, Florida), spanning three states with no geographic concentration. No issuing body appears more than once in the available records. Given the absence of opportunities actually matching the code's nominal scope and the evident miscoding of available solicitations, this code does not represent a viable business development focus for firms pursuing state and local contracts.
